The league was formed in 2013 and currently consists of 14 teams. The teams are divided into two groups, with each team playing each other team in their group once during the regular season. The top two teams from each group at the end of the regular season progress to the finals, which are played in a knockout format.
The current champions are Dandenong City SC, who won the title in 2022.
