History
Port Hill United Reserves was founded in 1975 by a group of cricket players from the Napier Technical Cricket Club. The team initially competed in the Hawke's Bay Football Association Third Division, but was promoted to the Second Division in 1977. The team remained in the Second Division until 1982, when it was promoted to the First Division. Port Hill United Reserves has remained in the First Division ever since.
