Ormeau Allstars Football Club
The Ormeau Allstars Football Club is an Australian semi-professional football (soccer) club based in Ormeau, Gold Coast, Queensland. The club was founded in 1976 and currently competes in the Gold Coast Premier League.
The Ormeau Allstars have won the Gold Coast Premier League championship on three occasions, in 2004, 2005, and 2006. The club has also won the Gold Coast Cup on four occasions, in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2010.
The Ormeau Allstars play their home games at Ormeau Park, which has a capacity of 2,000 spectators. The club's colours are red and white.
History
The Ormeau Allstars were founded in 1976 by a group of local footballers. The club initially competed in the Gold Coast District Soccer League, before moving to the Gold Coast Premier League in 1996.
The Ormeau Allstars won their first Gold Coast Premier League championship in 2004. They went on to win the championship again in 2005 and 2006. The club also won the Gold Coast Cup in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2010.
The Ormeau Allstars have had a number of successful players over the years, including David Williams, who went on to play for the Australian national team.
