The NY Ex Pats are a semi-professional soccer team based in New York City. They were founded in 2010 by a group of Irish and Scottish expats who wanted to create a team that would represent the city's diverse immigrant community.
The team plays in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of American soccer. They have won the NPSL Northeast Conference championship three times, in 2013, 2015, and 2017.
History
The NY Ex Pats were founded in 2010 by a group of Irish and Scottish expats who wanted to create a team that would represent the city's diverse immigrant community. The team's first season was in 2011, and they played in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League.
In 2013, the NY Ex Pats joined the NPSL. They won the NPSL Northeast Conference championship that year, and they also reached the NPSL National Championship game.
The NY Ex Pats have continued to be successful in the NPSL. They won the NPSL Northeast Conference championship again in 2015 and 2017.
