History
Khayelitsha Sante Red Football Club was founded in 2005 by a group of friends who wanted to create a football club for the youth of Khayelitsha. The club quickly grew in popularity and soon became one of the most successful teams in the Sante League.
In 2012, Khayelitsha Sante Red Football Club won the Sante League championship for the first time. The club has since gone on to win the championship four more times, in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2022.
The club has also produced a number of players who have gone on to play professionally, including Thabo Mngomeni, who currently plays for Cape Town City in the Premier Soccer League.
Recent Season
Khayelitsha Sante Red Football Club had a successful season in 2022, finishing as champions of the Sante League. The club won 18 of its 20 league matches, scoring 80 goals and conceding just 10 goals.
