Grass Boots Football Club is a South African soccer club based in Cape Town. The club was founded in 2010 and is the only SAFA registered soccer club in the Cape Town City Bowl.
History
Grass Boots FC was founded in 2010 by a group of friends who wanted to create a soccer club that would provide opportunities for young players in the Cape Town City Bowl. The club started with a few teams in the local leagues and has since grown to become one of the most successful amateur soccer clubs in Cape Town.
Grass Boots FC has won numerous trophies at the local level, including the Cape Town City Bowl Premier League title in 2018. The club has also produced a number of players who have gone on to play professionally, including Thabiso Monyane, who currently plays for Cape Town City FC in the Premier Soccer League.
Location
Grass Boots FC is based at the Grass Boots Soccer Complex in Yeoville, Cape Town. The complex has two soccer fields, a clubhouse, and changing rooms.
