CPT Rovers Football Club

CPT Rovers Football Club is a South African soccer team based in Kuilsrivier, Cape Town. The club was founded in 1968 and currently plays in the Western Cape Amateur League.

History

CPT Rovers was founded in 1968 by a group of friends who wanted to create a soccer team for the community of Kuilsrivier. The club quickly became one of the most successful amateur teams in the Western Cape, winning numerous trophies.

Cpt Rovers results

In 1998, CPT Rovers was promoted to the National First Division, the second tier of South African soccer. The club spent two seasons in the NFD before being relegated back to the amateur leagues.

CPT Rovers has continued to be a successful amateur team, winning the Western Cape Amateur League title on several occasions. The club is also known for its youth development program, which has produced several players who have gone on to play professional soccer.

CPT Rovers is currently in its 55th season. The club is currently in second place in the Western Cape Amateur League, just one point behind leaders Hellenic.

CPT Rovers has a number of talented players in its squad, including striker Mxolisi Mkhize, who has scored 10 goals this season. The club is also led by experienced coach Clinton Larsen, who has won numerous trophies as a player and coach.
