Clontarf FC is an amateur football club based in Clontarf, Dublin 3, Ireland. The club was founded in 1928 and currently has two adult teams playing in the Athletic Union League. The club also has a number of underage teams playing in the Dublin District Schoolboy League (DDSL).
History
Clontarf FC was founded in 1928 by a group of local men who wanted to provide a footballing outlet for the community. The club's first team entered the Dublin Junior League in 1929 and won the league title in their first season. The club has since gone on to win a number of trophies, including the Dublin Senior League title in 1956 and 1969.
Clontarf FC has also had a number of players represent the Republic of Ireland at underage levels. The most notable of these players is Kevin Moran, who won 56 caps for Ireland and played in the 1982 FIFA World Cup.
Current teams
Clontarf FC currently has two adult teams playing in the Athletic Union League. The first team plays in the Premier Division, while the second team plays in Division 1A. The club also has a number of underage teams playing in the DDSL.
