History
Young Boys was founded in 1998 by a group of young footballers who were dissatisfied with the state of football in Ghana. The club quickly rose through the ranks of the Ghanaian football pyramid, and in 2007, they were promoted to the Ghana Premier League for the first time.
Young Boys have made steady progress in the Ghana Premier League since their promotion. In 2012, they finished in third place, and in 2015, they finished in second place. In 2018, they won their first Ghana Premier League title.
