History
Withy Women were founded in 1990 by a group of women who wanted to play football in Manchester. The club started out in the Manchester Women's League and quickly rose through the ranks. In 2009, Withy Women won the FA Women's National League Northern Division and were promoted to the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division.
Withy Women have remained in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division ever since. They have finished in the top half of the table on several occasions, including a third-place finish in 2012. In 2016, Withy Women reached the FA Women's Cup quarterfinals, where they were defeated by Arsenal.
