Wingethi FC is a football club based in Mutomo, Kenya. The club was founded in 1975 and currently plays in the Kenya National Super League, the second tier of Kenyan football.
History
Wingethi FC was founded in 1975 by a group of young men from Mutomo. The club quickly rose through the ranks of Kenyan football and won promotion to the Kenyan Premier League in 1980. Wingethi FC remained in the top flight for 10 seasons, before being relegated in 1990.
The club has since been playing in the lower leagues of Kenyan football. In 2022, Wingethi FC won promotion to the Kenya National Super League.
Stadium
Wingethi FC plays its home matches at the Wingethi Stadium in Mutomo. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 spectators.
