The club was founded in 2018 by a group of local parents. They started out in the Sunderland Junior Alliance, before moving to the Durham County FA U15's League in 2019.
The Diablos have had a mixed record in their first few seasons. They finished bottom of their division in 2019, but they have improved in recent years. In 2022, they finished in 8th place out of 12 teams.

The Durham County FA U15's League is a youth football league in County Durham, England. It is affiliated to the Durham County Football Association. The league was founded in 1993 and currently has 12 teams competing in it.
The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the Division One. The top four teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season qualify for the Durham County FA U15's Cup.
The current champions of the Durham County FA U15's League are Chester-le-Street Town Juniors.
