Waterhall Stars was founded in 1995 by a group of friends who wanted to create a football team for the local community. The team started out playing in local friendlies, but quickly progressed to competitive leagues. In 2000, Waterhall Stars joined the Wharfside Electrical Milton Keynes Sunday Football League, where they have been ever since.

Waterhall Stars have enjoyed a successful history in the Wharfside Electrical Milton Keynes Sunday Football League. The team has won the league title four times, in 2005, 2009, 2013, and 2017. They have also won the league cup twice, in 2008 and 2016.
