The team was founded in 2019 by a group of parents who wanted to provide their children with the opportunity to play football in a fun and competitive environment.
The team currently has a squad of 12 players, all of whom are aged 8. The players train once a week at the Washington Community Centre and play matches on Saturdays.
The team has had a successful first season, winning the Durham County FA Leagues U8's Mini Soccer league cup.
The team is managed by Mark Smith, who has been involved in youth football for over 20 years. Mark is a qualified FA coach and has a wealth of experience in developing young footballers.
The team is sponsored by Washington United FC, who provide the players with kits and equipment.
