Walkden Warriors Football Club is an amateur football club based in Walkden, Greater Manchester, England. The club was founded in 1992 and currently plays in the Bolton & Bury District Football League (BBDFL).
History
Walkden Warriors were founded in 1992 by a group of local residents. The club started out in the Bolton & Bury Sunday League and quickly rose through the divisions. In 2002, the club joined the BBDFL and have since won several league titles and cups.
The club has a proud tradition of developing young players. Several former Walkden Warriors players have gone on to play professional football, including Dale Stephens of Brighton & Hove Albion and Kieran Trippier of Newcastle United.
Current Season
The Walkden Warriors first team currently plays in the BBDFL Premier Division. The team is managed by Paul Taylor and finished in 10th place in the league last season.
The club also has a number of other teams, including a reserve team, a women's team, and a youth team.
