History
Vakola United was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The club quickly rose through the ranks of the Mumbai Football League and won its first title in 1977. Vakola United has since won the Mumbai Football League a total of 10 times, most recently in 2022.
The club has also competed in the I-League Second Division on several occasions. In 2017, Vakola United reached the final of the I-League Second Division, but lost to ARA FC.
