Tiggers FC is a Namibian football club based in Windhoek. They are the oldest football club in the country, having been founded in 1927.
Tiggers FC play in the Namibia Premier Football League, the top division of Namibian football. They have won the league title 11 times, most recently in 2018.
Tiggers FC have also won the Namibian Cup 10 times, most recently in 2019.
History
Tiggers FC was founded in 1927 by a group of African students in Windhoek. The club was originally called African Tigers, but the name was changed to Tiggers FC in the 1960s.
Tiggers FC has been a dominant force in Namibian football for many years. They have won the league title 11 times, more than any other club. They have also won the Namibian Cup 10 times.
Tiggers FC's most successful period was in the 1970s and 1980s, when they won the league title six times and the cup four times.
Tiggers FC has also produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play for the Namibia national team.
