THUNDERSTORM was founded in 2010 by a group of football enthusiasts in Narajanganj. The club quickly rose through the ranks of the Bangladeshi football pyramid, and in 2017 they won promotion to the Bangladesh Premier League.
THUNDERSTORM has made a number of notable signings in recent years, including former Bangladesh internationals Sohel Rana and Emon Mahmud. The club has also been successful in youth development, and several of their players have gone on to represent Bangladesh at the international level.
Recent seasons
THUNDERSTORM has finished in the top half of the Bangladesh Premier League in each of the last three seasons. In 2022, they finished in fourth place, their highest ever finish in the league.
THUNDERSTORM has also been successful in cup competitions in recent years. In 2021, they won the Bangladesh Federation Cup, and in 2022 they reached the final of the Independence Cup.
