Third Lanark AC is a football team from Rutherglen, Scotland. They were founded in 1872 and are one of the oldest football clubs in Scotland. The club played in the top division of the Scottish Football League for most of their existence, and won the league championship in 1903-04. They also won the Scottish Cup twice, in 1889 and 1905.
However, the club went out of business in 1967 due to mismanagement. In recent years, there have been moves to revive the club, and an amateur team now plays in the Central Scottish Amateur Football League.
