History
Thames WF 50s was founded in 1950 by a group of friends who wanted to continue playing football after they had left school. The team quickly became one of the most successful veterans teams in the country, winning the Surrey FA Veterans League title 12 times.
In the 1960s, Thames WF 50s reached the final of the FA Veterans Cup on two occasions, but they were defeated on both occasions. The team also won the Southern Veterans Cup on three occasions during this period.
In recent years, Thames WF 50s have continued to be one of the top teams in the Surrey FA Veterans League. They have won the title seven times since the turn of the century, and they have also won the FA Veterans Cup once.
