Stratford Town Football Club is a football club representing the town of Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England. They are currently members of the Southern League Premier Division Central and play at Knights Lane.
The club was formed in 1941 as Stratford Rangers, changing their name in 1949. After playing in various local leagues they joined the Worcestershire Combination (which later became the Midland Football Combination) in 1954. In 1957 they switched to the Birmingham and District League, which became the West Midlands (Regional) League in 1962, but rejoined the Combination in 1970. In 1975 they took the unusual step of joining the Hellenic League, which does not normally include teams from Warwickshire.
The club's home ground is Knights Lane, which is located in the village of Tiddington, just outside Stratford upon Avon. The ground has a capacity of 2,500 spectators.
Midland Floodlit Youth League
The Midland Floodlit Youth League is a youth football league based in the Midlands region of England. The league was founded in 1972 and currently has over 100 member clubs.
The league is divided into a number of divisions, based on the age of the players. The top division is the Under-18 Premier Division, which is followed by the Under-16 Premier Division, the Under-15 Premier Division, and so on.
The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the Floodlit Youth League Cup, the Floodlit Youth League Challenge Cup, and the Floodlit Youth League Trophy.
The Midland Floodlit Youth League is a well-respected league and has produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play professional football. Some of the notable players who have played in the league include:
