About Stepney Boys FC
Stepney Boys FC is a Saturday football team made up of 14 team members. The team is from England, United Kingdom and play in the Open Age League. Stepney Boys FC started using TeamStats in August 2013.
The team was founded in 2020 during the midst of the Covid19 pandemic with the purpose of creating a platform for young individuals all across the local borough of Tower Hamlets, based in East London. Their aim and values have been about representing their Youth, their Community and a Brotherhood which they have formed over the years to help build key relationships with the younger generation.
Since their establishment, they are proud to have gained their status as an FA England Football Accredited Club and have been involved in numerous community and charity fundraising projects as well as competing in well known amateur football leagues, giving their youth the pathway to play at senior level.
Their organisation's focus is to create a positive environment and influence for young individuals from deprived neighbourhoods and help address the ongoing issues within their society, due to the rise of gangs, violence, drugs and domestic troubles increasing over the past few years. Their objective is to tackle antisocial behaviour within their local areas by working with the youth and helping to provide the support needed to build a better future for young disadvantaged individuals. Their mentors do this by providing careers advice and educational support and teaching life skills to further develop personal growth where needed throughout their journey from teenagers to becoming young adults.
They understand and recognise that growing up in a deprived home may not always be a 'home', however, they believe that everyone deserves to feel like they belong somewhere and have a sense of community. They are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all of their players, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Stepney Boys FC are a passionate and dedicated team who are committed to making a difference in their community. They are an inspiration to young people everywhere and are a shining example of what can be achieved when people come together to make a positive change.
