History
Stamford Spartans FC were founded in 1971 by a group of friends who wanted to play football together. They started out in the Sheffield & District Junior League and quickly progressed through the leagues. In 1983, they won the Sheffield & District Sunday League Cup for the first time.
The club continued to be successful in the 1990s and 2000s, winning the Sheffield & District Sunday League Cup a further four times. In 2009, they won the Sheffield & District Sunday League Premier Division for the first time.
Stamford Spartans FC are currently managed by Paul Jackson. The club's home ground is the Stamford Sports Complex, which is located in the Stamford Park area of Sheffield.
