SPR Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The club was founded in 1998 and currently competes in the Northern Premier League Division One East. The club's home ground is the Grovehill Playing Fields in Hull.
History
SPR Football Club was founded in 1998 by a group of friends who wanted to create a football club in Hull that would be accessible to all. The club started out in the Humber Premier League and quickly rose through the divisions. In 2012, SPR were promoted to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division. The club remained in this division for five seasons before being promoted to the Northern Premier League Division One East in 2017.
SPR have had some success in cup competitions in recent years. In 2016, the club reached the final of the Humber FA Vase, but lost to Bridlington Town. In 2019, SPR reached the final of the Northern Premier League President's Cup, but lost to Buxton.
