SouthcoastFC was founded in 2010 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The team started playing in the Hampshire League Division One and won promotion to the Premier Division in their first season. In 2012, the team joined the Wessex League Premier Division and won promotion to the Southern League Division One South & West in 2014. The team has remained in the Southern League ever since.
