History
The club was founded in 1971 as a pub side, Soldiers Return. They originally played Sunday football before switching to Saturday where they joined the Basingstoke League. After successfully climbing up through the divisions, the side became founder members of the Chiltonian League in 1984 where they remained for two seasons before joining the North Hants League. They won the North Hants League in 1986-87, resulting in their application to join Hampshire League Division 2 being successful.
Current Season
Soldiers Return FC are currently in their 52nd season. They finished the 2021-22 season in 11th place in the Basingstoke Sunday League Division 1.
Their most recent match was a 4-2 win against AFC Popley Reserves on February 27, 2023.
