Shweva Football Club is a South Korean professional football club based in Seoul. The club was founded in 1999 and currently competes in the K League 1, the top tier of South Korean football.
History
Shweva was founded in 1999 by the merger of two clubs, Seoul United and Anyang LG Cheetahs. The club's name is a combination of the Korean words for "victory" (??) and "equator" (??).
Shweva won the K League 1 title in 2000 and 2002. The club has also won the Korean FA Cup twice, in 2000 and 2006.
Stadium
Shweva's home stadium is the Seoul World Cup Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 66,704 spectators.
The Seoul World Cup Stadium was built for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The stadium has also hosted the Asian Games in 2014 and the AFC Asian Cup in 2018.
