The club was founded in 2010 by Vernon Thompson, who was supporting two young men to football in Newark. The young men didn't get much game time, so Vernon decided to set up a local club that could meet their needs.
The club has since grown to become one of the most successful disability football teams in the region. They have won numerous trophies, including the National Respect Award in 2017 and the Nottinghamshire FA club of the year in 2019.
Players
The club currently has a team of around 15 players. The players have a variety of disabilities, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions.
The club is committed to providing opportunities for all players, regardless of their disability. They offer a variety of training and support programs to help players develop their skills and confidence.
East Midlands Pan Disability league
The East Midlands Pan Disability league is a football league for disabled people in the East Midlands region. The league was founded in 2009 and currently has over 30 teams competing in it.
The league is divided into three divisions: Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The teams play each other home and away, and the top teams at the end of the season are promoted to the next division.
