SCM (Smouha Club of Mansoura) is an Egyptian football club based in Mansoura. The club was founded in 1920 and is one of the most successful clubs in Egypt, having won the Egyptian Premier League 10 times.
History
SCM was founded in 1920 by a group of students from Mansoura University. The club's first president was Mohamed Abdel-Aziz. SCM quickly became one of the top clubs in Egypt, winning the Egyptian Premier League in 1924 and 1925.
SCM went through a period of decline in the 1930s and 1940s, but the club returned to prominence in the 1950s. SCM won the Egyptian Premier League in 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, and 1956.
SCM continued to be successful in the 1960s and 1970s, winning the Egyptian Premier League in 1962, 1963, 1973, and 1977. The club also won the Egyptian Cup in 1963, 1974, and 1977.
Recent years
SCM has not been as successful in recent years, but the club has still won some silverware. SCM won the Egyptian Cup in 2002 and 2003, and the Egyptian Super Cup in 2003.
SCM is currently playing in the Egyptian Premier League. The club finished in 7th place in the 2021-22 season.
