Saxlingham Nethergate FC was founded in 1919 and initially played in the Norfolk & Suffolk League. The club won promotion to the Eastern Counties League in 1972 and remained in that league until 2002, when they were relegated to the Central & South Norfolk League.
The club has won the Central & South Norfolk League on three occasions, in 2003, 2010, and 2019. They have also won the Norfolk Senior Cup on two occasions, in 1998 and 2004.
