Runcorn Linnets Junior Football Club (Inter Linnets JFC) is an FA Charter Standard Club based in Runcorn, Cheshire, UK. We run mini-soccer, junior and eleven-a-side football teams. We have football teams and coaching facilities for both boys and girls across a range of age groups from Under 6s through to Under 16s feeding into Runcorn Linnets Youth, Reserves and ultimately Runcorn Linnets FC 1st team.
Club History
The junior Club is proud of its reputation and history built up by the successful Inter Union JFC which transitioned into Runcorn Linnets FC with the teams running as Inter Linnets JFC from the start of the 2010/11 season. Junior Linnets have once again had another very successful 2011/12 season winning 11 trophies across 10 teams. Read more about our History in the About Us page.
Runcorn Linnets Football Club
Runcorn Linnets Football Club is an English football club based in Runcorn, Cheshire. The club currently plays in the Northern Premier League Division One West, and is a full member of the Cheshire County Football Association.
The club was founded in 1967 as Inter Union, and changed its name to Runcorn Linnets in 1978. They have played at their current home ground, the APEC Taxis Stadium, since 1989.
History
- The club's most successful period came in the 1980s, when they won the Cheshire League three times and the Northern Premier League First Division once.
- They have also reached the final of the FA Vase on two occasions, in 1986 and 2005.
- In recent years, the club has struggled to maintain their previous level of success. They were relegated from the Northern Premier League Premier Division in 2017, and have since been playing in Division One West.

Runcorn Linnets are currently in 6th place in the Northern Premier League Division One West. They have won 11 of their 23 games so far this season.
Their next game is against Leek Town on Saturday, September 16th.

About the Hdjfl Football League
The Hdjfl (Halton & District Junior Football League) is a football league based in Halton, Cheshire. It was founded in 1967 and currently has over 100 teams competing in it.
The league is divided into four divisions: Premier Division, Division One, Division Two, and Division Three. The top two teams in each division are promoted at the end of the season, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
The Hdjfl is a popular league with a good reputation. It provides a great opportunity for young footballers to develop their skills and progress to higher levels.
