Roving Reporters FC is a Sunday League football club based in Enfield, United Kingdom. The club was founded in 1965 by three local newspaper journalists, including John Motson, who went on to become BBC Television's number one soccer commentator.

The club has two teams, the 1st Team and the 2nd Team. The 1st Team plays in the Premier Division of the Barnet Sunday League, while the 2nd Team plays in Division Two.

History

Roving Reporters FC Roving Reporters 2nd Team results

Roving Reporters were formed in 1965 by three local newspaper journalists: John Motson, Roger Jones, and Colin Watts. The club played its first fixture in August 1965, and after one season playing friendlies, they were instrumental in the formation of the Barnet Sunday League in 1966.

The 2nd Team was formed in 1967, and they are comfortably the longest-serving reserve team in the Barnet Sunday League. The 1st Team spent the first two competitive years in Division 1, before being promoted to the Premier Division for the 1968-9 season.

The club's most successful season was in 1969-70, when they finished third in the Premier Division and reached the semi-finals of the Senior Cup.
