More about the team
The club was formed back in 2007 by Steve Bradshaw and Ian Moore. The club was named Rachells FC after sponsorship from the Hilcote based pub.
Because of our late acceptance into the league the club was put in at the first available space which was Division 5, in 2007 there were 8 divisions. Our debut season ended with disappointment despite playing good football at times the club finished bottom of a strong division 5.
At the end of the first season the clubs’ name change to R&K FC due to a sponsorship deal with the Kirkby company, R&K Consultants & Contractors.
The clubs second season was a big improvement finishing 4th in Division 6 and reaching the quarter-finals of the Mansfield League cup.
2009/10 season was the clubs first taste at winning some silverware, being crowned division 5 champions and reaching both the League and County cup semi-finals.
2010/11 season the club gained promotion for a 3rd successive year by finishing 3rd in division 3. At the end of this season the club changed its name to Forest Tavern FC following sponsorship from the Skegby based pub.2011/12 season the club finished 8th in division 1 and avoided relegation. We bowed out of both the County and League cup at the first hurdle.
2012/13 brought another change in club name, this time to A.D.S FC. The club finished 7th in division 1 but again did not have a couple run after going out in the first rounds of both the league and county cup.
2013/14 - following a sponsorship deal the could will be called Rose and Crown FC and will play in division 2 after the league re-shuffled the divisions. The club finished 2nd in the league and also won the Intermediate cup. This was the clubs most successful season to date, collecting 2 trophies at the end of the season. The clubs’ home ground is Healdswood Rec, Mansfield Road, Skegby.
