Richmond Rovers Royals is a football team based in Poynton, Cheshire, England. They play in the Stockport Metropolitan Junior Football League (ECSFL) U8 Perry division.
The team was founded in 1983 by Ken Foulkes, Stuart Rowson, Alan Bancroft and Dave Wheeler. The name Richmond was selected at random from a local telephone directory to compliment the Rovers suffix.
The team currently has a squad of 12 players, all of whom are under the age of 8. The team is managed by Stuart Rowson and assisted by Ken Foulkes.
Richmond Rovers Royals have been very successful in recent years, winning the ECSFL U8 Perry division title in 2021-22. They have also reached the final of the ECSFL U8 Perry Cup in each of the last three seasons.
