Railway Academicals FC are a Saturday football team based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. They currently play in the Southend Borough Combination Premier Division.
History
The club was founded in 1922 and originally played in the Southend League. They won the league title in 1926-27. In 1965, they joined the Southend Borough Combination, where they have remained ever since.
The club's most successful period came in the 1970s, when they won the league title three times (1972-73, 1973-74, and 1974-75). They also won the league cup in 1973-74.
The club has had a number of notable players over the years, including John Cox, who went on to play for Southend United and Colchester United.
