Physical FC is a football (soccer) team based in Oyo, Nigeria. The team was founded in 1970 and currently competes in the Nigeria National League, the second tier of Nigerian football.
Physical FC has never won the Nigerian Premier League, but they have won the Nigeria National League on two occasions, in 1983 and 1999. The team has also reached the final of the Nigeria FA Cup on three occasions, in 1982, 1998, and 2000.
History
Physical FC was founded in 1970 by a group of students from the University of Ibadan. The team's first home ground was the University of Ibadan Stadium.
Physical FC quickly became one of the most successful teams in Nigeria. In 1983, the team won the Nigeria National League and were promoted to the Nigerian Premier League.
Physical FC spent the next few years competing in the Nigerian Premier League. The team's highest finish in the league was third place, which they achieved in 1984.
In 1999, Physical FC won the Nigeria National League for the second time. The team was promoted to the Nigerian Premier League, but they were relegated back to the Nigeria National League at the end of the season.
Recent seasons
Physical FC has been competing in the Nigeria National League since 2000. The team has finished in the top four of the league on several occasions, but they have not been promoted to the Nigerian Premier League since 1999.
