History
Overton Rec FC was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The team initially played in the Wrexham & District League, before moving to the Welsh National League in 1989.
The team has enjoyed some success in recent years, winning the Welsh National League Premier Division title in 2019-20. They have also reached the final of the FAW Trophy on two occasions, in 2018 and 2020.
