Onsando Football Club is a Kenyan football club based in Onsando, Kiambu County. The club was founded in 1972 and currently competes in the National Super League, the second tier of Kenyan football.
History
Onsando FC was founded in 1972 by a group of young men who wanted to play football in their community. The club quickly rose through the ranks of Kenyan football and in 1988, they were promoted to the Kenyan Premier League for the first time.
The club spent two seasons in the top flight before being relegated back to the lower leagues. However, they bounced back in 1992 and went on to win the Kenyan Premier League title in 1993.
Onsando FC has also won the Kenyan Cup twice, in 1994 and 2000. The club has also competed in the CAF Champions League on three occasions, reaching the second round in 1994.
Recent seasons
Onsando FC has struggled in recent seasons and has been relegated from the National Super League on two occasions. The club is currently in the third tier of Kenyan football, the Division One League.
However, the club is hoping to return to the National Super League in the near future. They have a strong youth team and are investing in developing young players.
