History
- Calabar Rovers was founded in 1970 by a group of young men in Calabar. The club's first chairman was Mr. E. O. Archibong.
- The club's first major success came in 1974, when they won the Nigeria Premier League. They repeated this feat in 1976.
- Calabar Rovers also won the Nigeria FA Cup three times, in 1973, 1976, and 1989.
- The club has been struggling in recent years and was relegated to the Nigeria National League in 2015. However, they were promoted back to the Nigeria Premier League in 2022.
