Nieuw Sloten sv 3 is a Dutch amateur football (soccer) team from the Nieuw Sloten neighborhood in Amsterdam. The club was founded in 2004 and currently competes in the Vijfde Klasse, the fifth tier of Dutch football.
History
Nieuw Sloten sv 3 was founded on 4 April 2004 by a group of residents of the Nieuw Sloten neighborhood. The club's first team started playing in the Derde Klasse, the fourth tier of Dutch football. In 2012, the club was involved in a tragic incident when a linesman was killed after being assaulted by players and parents from the club's youth team. Following the incident, the Royal Dutch Football Association cancelled all amateur matches for 8 and 9 December.
Nieuw Sloten sv 3 has since recovered from the incident and has continued to compete in the Vijfde Klasse. The club's home ground is Sportpark Sloten, which is located in the Nieuw Sloten neighborhood.
Recent season
Nieuw Sloten sv 3 finished the 2022-23 season in 11th place in the Vijfde Klasse. The club's top scorer was Mohamed el Aoulad with 12 goals.
