History
Morecambe Football Club was founded in 1920 by a group of local businessmen. The club initially played in the Lancashire Combination, before moving to the North West Counties League in 1987. In 2007, Morecambe won promotion to the Conference National, the highest level of non-league football in England. The club won promotion to League Two in 2010, and to League One in 2017.

Morecambe Football Club plays its home games at the Globe Arena, which has a capacity of 6,499. The stadium was opened in 1995 and is located on the outskirts of Morecambe.
