History
Mohun Bagan Super Giants was founded in 2020 by the merger of two Hyderabad-based clubs, Mohun Bagan and FC Pune City. The club's name and crest are a combination of the two clubs' previous identities.
Mohun Bagan Super Giants made their ISL debut in the 2020-21 season. They finished the season in sixth place, qualifying for the playoffs. In the playoffs, they lost to Bengaluru FC in the semifinals.
In the 2021-22 season, Mohun Bagan Super Giants finished the regular season in second place, qualifying for the playoffs. In the playoffs, they defeated FC Goa in the semifinals and Chennaiyin FC in the final to win their first ISL title.
