History
Merton FC was founded in 1910 by a group of local men. The club initially played in the Wimbledon & District League, before joining the Southern Amateur League in 1919.
The club's most successful period came in the 1920s, when they won the Southern Amateur League title on three occasions. Merton FC also reached the final of the FA Amateur Cup in 1922, but lost to Bishop Auckland.
The club has continued to play in the Southern Amateur League ever since. They currently compete in Division One, the top division of the league.
