Manngliss Football Club
Manngliss Football Club is a Georgian professional football club based in Rustavi. The club was founded in 1962 and currently competes in the Erovnuli Liga, the top division of Georgian football.
Manngliss has won the Erovnuli Liga once, in 1999–2000. The club has also won the Georgian Cup twice, in 1999–2000 and 2016–17.
History
Manngliss was founded in 1962 as a factory team of the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant. The club quickly rose through the Georgian football pyramid and made its debut in the Erovnuli Liga in 1966.
Manngliss enjoyed its most successful period in the 1990s. The club won the Erovnuli Liga in 1999–2000 and the Georgian Cup in the same season. Manngliss also reached the final of the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2000, where they lost to FC Basel.
Manngliss has struggled in recent years and has been relegated from the Erovnuli Liga on several occasions. However, the club has always bounced back and is currently competing in the top flight.
Stadium
Manngliss plays its home games at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in Rustavi. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 spectators.
