History
Lymington Sprites was founded in 1972 by a group of local parents who wanted to provide their children with the opportunity to play football. The club started with just one team, but has since grown to over 20 teams.
The club has a strong tradition of developing young players. Many former Sprites players have gone on to play professional football, including Matt Ritchie, who currently plays for Newcastle United.
Current teams
Lymington Sprites currently has teams for players aged 7-15. The teams play in a variety of leagues, including the New Forest & District Youth Football League and the Bournemouth Youth Football League.
The club also has a girls' team that plays in the Hampshire Girls' Football League.
Awards and achievements
Lymington Sprites has won numerous awards and achievements over the years. The club has been named "Club of the Year" by the New Forest & District Youth Football League on several occasions.
