Luddesdown Lions were then properly formed by Lewis Clarke in 2012 and started off playing in Division 5 of the Rochester & District Football League. Ryan Avery was appointed manager on 2/9/2012 and recorded a 3-2 win over Gillingham Town Reserves in his first game in charge.
Luddesdown Lions were nearly formed by Elliot Jones in 2005, but due to of lack of funds the club could not continue, they only played 3 friendly games, drawing 1 and losing 2. The scorers from those 3 games were Joe Brady (3), Sam Brady (2), Jack Whitehead (2), Terry Whitehead (2), Lewis Clarke, Matt Barnes & Joe Bannan (all 1).
