LR Strikers Football Club is a Sierra Leonean football club based in Freetown. The club was founded in 1978 and currently plays in the Sierra Leone National Premier League.

History

LR Strikers was founded in 1978 by a group of friends in Freetown. The club quickly rose through the ranks of the Sierra Leonean football pyramid, and won its first league title in 1982. LR Strikers has since won the league title a total of 10 times, and has also won the Sierra Leone FA Cup 6 times.

The club's most successful period was in the 1980s, when they won the league title 5 times in a row. LR Strikers also reached the final of the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1984, but lost to Cameroonian club Canon Yaoundé.

The club has struggled in recent years, and has not won a league title since 2012. However, they are still one of the most popular clubs in Sierra Leone, and have a large following of fans.

LR Strikers finished in 5th place in the Sierra Leone National Premier League in the 2022-2023 season. The club won 10 of their 22 matches, drew 6, and lost 6.
