Little Stars Academy Football Team
Little Stars Academy is a football academy based in Gravesend, England. It was founded in 2010 and offers training for children of all ages and abilities. The academy has a strong reputation for developing young players and many of its graduates have gone on to play professional football.
History
Little Stars Academy was founded by former professional footballer, John Smith. Smith played for a number of clubs in the English Football League, including Charlton Athletic and Millwall. He retired from playing in 2005 and decided to set up the academy to give young players in Gravesend the opportunity to develop their skills.
The academy quickly became successful and now has over 200 players enrolled. It has a number of teams that compete in local leagues and tournaments. The academy also has a strong reputation for developing young goalkeepers.
Awards and Accomplishments
- Little Stars Academy has won the Gravesend and District Youth League title on four occasions.
- The academy has also won the Kent County Cup on two occasions.
- A number of Little Stars Academy graduates have gone on to play professional football, including Jack Brown (Millwall) and Harry Smith (Charlton Athletic).
