The Lil Greenies are a youth football team based in Braughing, Hertfordshire. They were founded in 1995 and currently have teams for children aged 5-16.
History
The Lil Greenies were founded in 1995 by a group of parents who wanted to provide their children with the opportunity to play football in a safe and friendly environment. The club has grown steadily over the years and now has over 200 registered players.
The Lil Greenies have a strong reputation for developing young players. Many of their former players have gone on to play for professional clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, and Watford.
Achievements
- The Lil Greenies have won the Hertfordshire County Cup on four occasions.
- They have also won the Herts FA Youth Cup twice.
- In 2017, the Lil Greenies were the first team from Hertfordshire to reach the final of the FA Vase.
