Libs were formed in 1947 under the previous name of Erdington Liberals,
In our early days we used to play in the Sunday Alliance League, with our home games being held at Short Heath Park, Under Manager Tony Wager we joined the Festival League & played our games at Cooksey Lane until 2007. Then due to tempory financial problems & other issues the club nearly folded but thanks to Gary Day who got us back up an running, We entered the North Birmingham League. where we played for 2 years before rejoining the festival where we now play.!
Previous players...... P.Chappel, J.Hewitt, B.Liddington, K.Liddington, T.Cassin, V.Richards, K.Evans, S.Day, R.Hayton, T.Wager & J.O`rourke. Two of the founder members of the Libs were Harry Zeff and Billy Arnold, Both of whom have sadly passed away.
Our player of the season award is called the Harry Zeff memorial trophy, An from 2009 there will be a trophy in honour of Billy Arnold for the most m.o.m awards in a season.
